Can you get this job without having any prior industry experience? Yes! Will all of your video game playing skills be assets in this job? Yes!
Want to be a game tester? Consider the two questions above for just a moment. Can you think of any other job in which you could answer yes to both of them? How would you like to get paid to play games? As they say; it’s a tough job, but someone has to do it.
Human beings have been playing games since the dawn of time. We will continue to play games always. In our current state of technological evolution, the video game reigns supreme. And these games don’t test themselves.
Around the world, video games are constantly being developed. This means that there is a constant need for video game testers. Companies such as Sony, Electronic Arts, Atari, and Nintendo (to name just a few) are always developing the next generation of games that need testing.
